| Biohazardous Eventually, after dredging the lake of independent horror and sampling some of its fell and hideous wares, you come across a gem that redeems you in your search. It may not be a holy grail, but it's proof that there is a purpose to watching all those mind numbing films. This is one of those movies. It all takes place in Hillsdale, NJ, where partying teens, religious zealots and corporate schemers all come together to encounter an undead menace that threatens their small town. Sure, none of them really seem like the hero type, but thanks to one girl and her dumb friends, the town may just stand a chance from the horror that Gentech has been breeding in its labs. The gore is plentiful, though not over the top, and the acting is surprisingly competent, though you don't really take a shine to any of the characters except for the ones with breasts, and even then, you wouldn't mind seeing them get eaten. There's no nudity, which is a damn shame, considering the cleavage that the two leads possess. The zombie makeup is well done, too, entering DOTD territory but not entirely. A quick and fun ride through low budget zombie horror, Biohazardous is well worth the price of admission if you're in the mood for a horror cheapie. Check it out. |
