Kyle Rayner was the last Green Lantern for a hella long time when I was getting into reading comics in the 90s. Nowadays, the Corps is back and Kyle was Ion, but then Sinestro captured him and turned him into the new Parallax host where he kicked ass and took names until he was eventually returned back to human and just a regular GL.
Inspired by the Dapper Dan drawing, I decided to start on a animated version of the Kyle Parallax. I started with the JLU Kyle Rayner base and then sculpted on the mask, arms, shoulder pads, boots and neck guard. Note to self, Sculpey can be fragile, as seen by the various cracks on the figure like on the right boot which I will have to seal. Ah well. The cape came from a Superman JLU figure and was painted green. The armor was painted metallic green, lighter than the cape but it matches the lanterns that come with the figure. The symbol is decoupaged on. An ambitious figure for me and it required much time and patience. This is before I learned to boil Sculpey too, which would have prevented the cracking I think as I used the hair dryer method and burned my fingers off.
