| Darkhawk is based on the Marvel
comic character of the same name. He's had two different costumes, and
this is the first one and also the one he's been using in his latest appearances.
like the caption says, Chris Powell found a mysterious amulet that turned
him into the Darkhawk, a being of great power. Really, it's a cyborg body
created by alien scientists that rebelled against their criminal master,
who then scattered the amulets across the galaxy. |
| Darkhawk was one of the first comic books I
started collecting when I got into comics, and I enjoyed the theme. A
teen finds a powerful artifact and adventure ensues. It's the perfect
vehicle for an introverted kid to fantasize along with. Not to mention
the snazzy costume and powers. One of these days I'll make the second
costume as well. The helmet is sculpey, the wings are felt, the claw is
spade electrical connectors and the shoulder pieces are plastic. |
