Transformers: The Movie: The Game: For Wii

With the upcoming Transformers movie, there's a game on multiple consoles that accompanies it. Seeing that I enjoyed the hell out of the PS2 Transformers game (based on Armada or something), I figured I'd check this one out. I've only played a few levels so far, but it's pretty nice so far.

The good:
First off, you can play two branches, Autobot and Decepticon. That's pretty nice, and certainly a change to be able to play both good and bad guys. Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and Jazz are some of the Autobots, and Blackout, Barricade, and Scorpinok are some of the baddies.

Graphically, it's excellent. It's probably one of the better Wii games in that regard. I was definitley impressed.

Gameplay wise, it's a pretty intuitive use of the controls. Use the nunchuck's stick to maneuver, aim and shoot with the wii-mote. You also melee by shaking the wiimote. Pretty easy to get the hang of, and it's fun to drive full throttle at someone, then transform and punch them. Also, guns in car mode, which is a nice addition.

The bad:
So far, there's a lot of timed missions, or timed parts of them. It can get pretty frustrating at times. I'd have loved it if it was more like the PS2 Armada game, where it was basically an adventure game, running around the levels. The camera gets a little wonky at times, but you can recenter it easily.

Overall, I'd recommend picking up this game, if you are a Transformers fan. You might want to wait for a price drop, since I know I can't drop $50 for a lot of games.
