Touted as Jet Li's last epic film, Fearless is a nice blend of drama, comedy and some kickass martial arts. Jet Li plays a wu-shu master who starts off as a fairly lousy person but ends up becoming one of China's greatest champions when the country needs strength. You find this out in the first fifteen minutes, so there's nothing to be given away there. The acting is alright and the fights are great, but the movie doesn't really feel like an epic. It's definitely a period piece, but it lacks the scope of a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or a Hero. Still, it's worth your time to watch if you're a fan at all of Jet Li or fighting. Check it out.
